Software Support Specialist
Location: Indianapolis IN
The Software Support Specialist will communicate with customers and Evanced
staff to diagnose and resolve customer issues related to software, database and
usability questions. Support specialists deliver quality technical solutions in
a timely manner by analyzing problems, researching issues, and prescribing
solutions.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure customer satisfaction by
providing technical support to customers via telephone or email
- Provide clients with technical
support by ensuring problem escalation procedures are followed.
- Resolve client support cases. Create
action plans and follow through to closure.
- Communicate problem resolution and
status to the customer in a factual, professional, timely, and consistent
manner.
- Advocate for customers by suggesting
product enhancements. Provide feedback to Product Development regarding improvements
to Evanced software.
- Install
software for new customers (Purchased or Subscription)
- Install
appropriate software updates when necessary
- Perform
occasional onsite customer training
- Assist
with writing and editing of the User Manuals
- Assist
with configuration of new hosting servers
- Train
customers using online webinars
REQUIRED skills include:
- Proven problem solving,
troubleshooting, and issue resolution experience
- Exceptional customer service and
communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong problem management
capabilities.
- Familiarity with web based
applications, products, and services
- Willingness to participate in after
hours support calls
- Knowledge of MS Office products
DESIRED skills include:
- Experience working in, or working
with, public and/or academic libraries
- Basic understanding of HTML
programming
- Basic understanding of CSS/style sheets
- Basic understanding of database
structures and experience with writing SQL queries
- One year experience providing
technical or application support
.NET Software Developer
Location: Indianapolis IN
The .NET Software Developer will lead the team in converting the suite of Classic ASP products to .NET at the same time updating and improving the user experience, reworking the code to take advantage of .NET functionality, and adding additional customer driven features.
Responsibilities include:
- Working with a close-knit team to develop the next generation of our web-based suite of applications.
- Take a leading role defining and implementing the user experience for new and existing applications
- Convert from Classic ASP to .NET
- Responsible for developing portions of the suite and working in tandem with other developers
REQUIRED skills include:
- 2-8+ years as a professional .NET developer, .NET software engineer
- Strong HTML related skills (XML/XHTML/CSS)
- Strong client-side JavaScript skills (DOM/AJAX) required
- BS or MS in Computer Science or related field
- A demonstrably strong and clean visual design sense
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Prior experience with RDB, MySQL, SQL Server, or Oracle
- Prior experience converting Classic ASP applications to .NET
